Troubleshooting

Solutions for the most common issues. If your problem is not listed here, contact support.

Posts not publishing

  • Confirm the target platform is still connected. Go to Settings then Integrations and check for a green status.
  • Check that you have approved the post. Pending posts will not publish until approved (unless auto-post is enabled).
  • Verify your posting schedule has upcoming slots. Go to Settings then Schedule to confirm.
  • Instagram requires a linked Facebook Page. If your Page was disconnected, reconnect via Meta Business Suite.
  • If the post failed, check the error message on the Content Calendar — it usually explains what went wrong (e.g., image too small, caption too long).

Google Drive not syncing

  • Make sure the Google account used for Drive is still authorized. Reconnect from Settings then Integrations if needed.
  • Check that the correct folder is selected. If you moved photos to a different folder, update the folder selection.
  • Only image files (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC) are synced. Other file types are ignored.
  • Large folders may take longer to sync on the first run. Allow up to 15 minutes for initial sync.
  • If photos appear in Drive but not in BoostLocal, try disconnecting and reconnecting the Drive integration.

Telegram not working

  • Make sure you opened the BoostLocal bot link and tapped 'Start' in Telegram.
  • Check that you did not block the bot. Open the chat with @BoostLocalBot and ensure it is not blocked.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting Telegram from Settings then Integrations.
  • Telegram notifications may be delayed if Telegram's servers are under load. Wait a few minutes and check again.
  • If you changed your Telegram account, you will need to reconnect with the new account.

Reviews not appearing

  • Reviews are pulled from Google Business Profile. Make sure your GBP is connected and the correct location is selected.
  • New reviews may take a few minutes to appear after they are posted on Google.
  • If reviews were appearing before but stopped, check that your GBP connection is still active in Settings.
  • BoostLocal only monitors Google reviews. Reviews on other platforms (Yelp, Facebook) are not tracked.

Image scoring issues

  • Scoring happens automatically after upload. If a photo shows no score, it may still be processing — wait a minute and refresh.
  • Very small images (under 200x200 pixels) may receive a low score or fail to score. Use higher-resolution photos for best results.
  • If you disagree with a score, you can manually override it from the Content Library.
  • Corrupted or incomplete files will not be scored. Re-upload the original file if this occurs.

Billing issues

  • If a charge failed, check that your card on file is valid and has sufficient funds. Update your payment method in Settings then Billing.
  • Stripe will retry failed charges a few times. If all retries fail, your subscription will be paused.
  • For refund requests, email [email protected] within 7 days of the charge.
  • If you were charged after canceling, check that the cancellation was confirmed. You should have received a confirmation email.
